This IS Starscream! The likeness is uncanny, the toy looks so much like the animated counterpart on Transformers Prime. The robot form is very well articulated, making for some great dynamic poses. The jet form is also very cool looking. It's a little complicated to transform, at first, but gets easier with a little practice. The build quality is very good, considering the complexity of the piece. Although it doesn't look possible, this Starscream has no problem standing up in robot form. I'm very pleased with the Transformers Prime Deluxe Series Starscream First Edition!

Starscream kick's ass!The Transformer Prime is a awesome series and Starscream is a great overall transformer.Starscream has a solid transformation with intricate detail for a very realistic transformer that is just like Starscream came right out of the t.v. into your home.Starscream has a more sleek fighter jet mode with a single turbine engine instead of the usual double. He has great articulation in the legs, arms, body, and head piece.Starscream comes with the classic arm cannons in a three missle piece that attaches to each arm in robot mode and under the wings in fighter jet mode. The missile pieces are sweet looking, but don't have firing action. The fighter jet mode is very solid with all parts fitting and staying together very securely. The robot mode is just as sweet wth all parts also being very solid overall. The poseability is outstanding with great stability for creating cool battle scenes or for displaying where you please. The durability is excellent as well with secure joints... This is a surprisingly accurate depiction of the Prime version of Starscream. I say 'surprisingly' because honestly I don't know how they managed to do it. The designs of the show are VERY hard to interpret in toy form, and likely even harder to make an accurate transformation gimmick with. However, he does his job nicely, and aside from some kibble parts on the back that don't QUITE fit together as well as I'd like, it's really not a huge issue. The only accuracy issue I see aside from that is that his head 'fin' is grey, not red, but this was an easy fix.

I feel this toy might be a bit geared towards Starscream fans rather than they average child, as the toy doesn't really have any of the usual Transformer Toy standbys. No launching mechanism, no 'pop-out' blade features, or any other spring-loaded parts that they could have fit in. His missiles just plug into his arms and look menacing. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I think it's a nice gesture to of made. I... Read more
